Lake Erie’s western basin, specifically the Port Clinton area provides astonishing walleye fishing spring, summer and fall. Anglers fishing the shallow waters of Lake Erie’s western basin often catch limits of walleye drift fishing, casting spinners on shallow rocky structures of the western basin reef complex. Anglers fishing with light spinning tackle participate in excitement which thrills the experienced angler as well as the beginner. Rod in hand drift fishing is our prefered method.

Trophy Walleye Fishing March, April, Oct, November

Trophy walleye are caught in colder water March, April and Early May in the spring and again in Oct and November, December and through the ice.
Lake Erie is loaded with walleye, eighty plus million walleye including potential record breaking walleye.

Trophy spring walleye fishing on Lake Erie often rewards anglers.

Fisherman and trophy seekers come here, from all over the world, including The Pro’s, hunting trophy walleye! Lake Erie is loaded with walleye, millions of walleye including potential record breaking walleye.
Their annual migration back to Lake Erie’s western basin starts in the fall and continues through the winter, stuffing the western basin waters of Lake Erie with enormous schools of pre-spawn walleye, waiting to drop their eggs when water conditions are right.
Anglers come here, to Lake Erie’s western basin near Port Clinton seeking  their chance to catch hudge pre-spawn, egg laiden walleye at their peak weight in March and April. This is the only time of year that walleye come to us, fishermen know where to find them, driven by their urge to spawn, walleye assault the shallow rocky reefs with out reguard.
Lake Erie, especially the western basin reef complex is one of their main spawning grounds.
Early spring  fishing starts at ice out and for those willing to brave the cold, many reap the rewards, often catching limits of awesome 8 to 12 lb walleye
